Accounting Assistant

Seeking team-oriented professional for an accounting position in a medium-sized manufacturing company.
Candidates must possess excellent communications skills, strong analytical and computer skills, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people.
Major Responsibilities · General ledger familiarity · Assist with month-end and year-end financial close and account reconciliation · Assist with Fixed Assets records/control · Track depreciation · Journal Entries · Assist internal audits of accounts · Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash monitoring · Assist with financial reporting for local and corporate management · Support Inventory Control · Assist with state and federal tax reporting · Familiar with Sales/Use Tax Liability · Assist with internal & external audits Educational requirements · Minimum - Associates degree in accounting or finance Other skills and experience · Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in general accounting · Proficiency in MS Office software suite and internet · Knowledge of MAX/MRP accounting software or comparable applications · Broad knowledge of accounting methods, principles & practices Position reports to Senior Accountant Salary: Determined based upon experience and qualifications Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Flexible schedule * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Physical setting: * Office Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Education: * Associate (Preferred) Work Location: In person
