Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Development Support Specialist will provide office administration to efficiently meet financial and strategic goals through coordination, effective communication, critical thinking, and teamwork.
This individual will support the development team by helping pay bills, reconciling expense reports and travel reimbursement for development travel, coordinate with stewardship to produce mailings and assist in ordering swag, confirming, and scheduling appointments when needed, assist in campaign planning and materials, and general support of the team.
This position will serve as the liaison to the Alumni Board, working closely with the Alumni President to schedule meetings, reserve space, coordinate catering, etc.
Event support will be expected, in addition to being the point person for the team on EKU Day at the Races, 50th Reunion celebrations, Alumni Award recipients, and Homecoming Royalty committee.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Certification or graduation from a four (4) year college or university.
Experience: Five years of work related experience is required.

Job Duties:
50% - Support development team by reconciling procards and per diems, assisting with travel plans, processing and depositing charitable contributions, scheduling/confirming appointments, and general administrative support.
Perform all other administrative functions required to support the effective operation of the department.

35% - Serve as liaison to alumni board and coordinate details for their meetings, oversee alumni events including but not limited to EKU Day at the Races, 50th Reunion, Alumni Awards, Homecoming royalty committee.
Maintain excellent public relations with internal and external constituents and create professional and accurate reports, presentations, and documents.
