Department: Assembly, Die Casting, Machining, Conveyance, Finishing and Quality
Reports To: Supervisor
Shift: 1st & 2nd available
Pay: $17.
25 - $20 BOE FLSA Status: Non-Exempt SUMMARY Operates equipment and machinery in the casting, machining, and assembly of automotive components.
Verifies that the component is cast, machined, and assembled according to customer specification.
Moves materials throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Lifts workpiece manually or using hoist and secures workpiece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device.
Starts machine, engages feed, and observes operation.
Inspects and measures manufactured workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine.
Replaces worn machine accessories.
Files, sands or shapes machined parts.
Cleans manufactured parts.
Tends machines and equipment.
Performs work according to Standard Work Chart and the Work Instruction Manual.
Performs inspection according to the Key Point Instruction Sheet.
Maintains good housekeeping practices at assigned workstation.
Completes Preventative Maintenance Inspections as requested by the Supervisor.
Performs Pokayoke checks according to the Inspection Sheet.
Records the information on the Daily Production Report.
Changes dies and fixtures when instructed by the Supervisor.
Communicates all abnormal situations to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to Team Leader or Supervisor.
Performs sampling inspection, and testing of received parts, components, and materials to determine conformance to standards.
Pulls products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, or chemical characteristics.
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Suggests changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency.
Sets up machines and equipment.
May be required to work both daily and weekly overtime.
Other duties may be assigned.
Team Members assigned to Function Gaging/ Parts Checks will be trained to Basic SPC within 30 days of assignment.

Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other members of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the member is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The member frequently is required to stand.
The member is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme heat.
The member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
The member is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and risk of radiation.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
